I am in the process of obtaining a Graphic Design Certificate at RISD (continuing education). These patterns were created in "Graphic Form" class. They are typographic patterns - mine were made of letter Y: the upper row is made of uppercase Y and the lower - from lowercase y. We were asked to experiment with different ways of pattern creation - and also with different optical densities. Only black and white was allowed. And luckily - we had enough variations to make our heads spin even without the color addition :D. This work was challenging but very interesting. Take a closer look - the images are clickable.
